I think the meaning is that at first he really likes her, but she's Been hurt and can't see it . You can tell he really likes her but she never believed in love to treat her right. Then she gets hurt and she mite die. So he overdosed because he was in pain, because he loved her.so she is in a comma but he dies. then he tells her that it's ok to fly away meaning she can drift away and their will be no pain .but she could also fall and stay but he wants her to fly away with him. Then he says he can tell she's afraid of what this mite do meaning that he can tell she is afraid to go. But at the same time she wants to go with him.
