Born on November 3, 1990, in Pueblo, Colorado, Kyle tragically left us on November 7, 2023, at his home in Florence, Colorado. His departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him.
Early Life and Education
Kyle’s journey began with his education, which he pursued with determination and passion. He attended Trinidad Elementary, Pueblo West Middle, and High, graduating in 2009. During his time at Pueblo Community College, he earned an associate’s degree in welding, showcasing his commitment to learning and honing his skills.
Successful Businesses and Volunteer Work
Throughout his brief but impactful life, Kyle displayed an entrepreneurial spirit, establishing and managing several thriving businesses. One notable venture was Machete Excavation, a Southern Colorado septic system excavation and installation company. Kyle’s dedication and hard work were evident in the success of these endeavors.
However, Kyle’s accomplishments extended beyond the realm of business. He possessed a compassionate heart and selflessly volunteered his time and resources to support underprivileged families. Family and Personal Life
At the core of Kyle’s life were his loved ones, who meant the world to him. He shared a beautiful bond with his wife, Tera Slaski, whom he married on June 16, 2021. Together, they embraced the joys and challenges of parenthood, raising their beloved daughter, Scarlett, whom Kyle affectionately called “Monkey” or “Monk.” He cherished his role as a husband, father, and son, always striving to provide happiness and fulfillment to his cherished “girls.”
In addition to his devotion to his immediate family, Kyle had a deep affection for animals. He lovingly cared for his three dogs, three cats, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and peacocks, creating a harmonious and nurturing environment for his furry and feathered companions.
Kyle’s memory will forever be treasured by his mother, Christine Egland of Pueblo, Colorado; his wife, Tera Clasby of Florence, Colorado; his daughter, Scarlett Clasby; his aunt and uncle, Tina and Lee Cook, and his cousins Joel, Kevin, Nathan, and Daniel Cook of Rockvale. He was also a beloved son-in-law, brother-in-law, and uncle to his extended family.
To honor Kyle’s life and pay tribute to his memory, a visitation will be held at Holt Family Funeral Home in Cañon City, Colorado, on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. The following day, on Sunday, November 19, 2023, a memorial service and luncheon will take place at the Pathfinder Park Event Center in Florence, Colorado, starting at 11 a.m. Kyle will be laid to rest at Union Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Kyle’s name.
