There's a common experience among women who have miscarried children or had stillbirths (which I have), it's that your innocence is lost. Women who've experienced pregnancy loss and are continuing to try to have a baby will never have the same excitement of seeing a positive pregnancy test again. All the hope and joy is now clouded by the fear of what happened before.

Return to Innocence to me means trying to find that innocence in yourself again, the innocence that didn't worry about what awful things could happen, but the joy of living in the moment and the excitement of not knowing the future but also not worrying about it. Innocence means believing in beauty, happiness, love, magic, and all the things we believed in as kids before we started experiencing hardships.
