The song is describing a relationship clearly came to a rocky end where she hurt him. He wants her to feel the same pain that he did and to experience how terrible it feels to be hurt by someone you loved and you thought loved you. A part of him wants to make her feel that way but another part of him doesn’t think that he could hurt somebody like that.
